It’s hard to believe a whole month has passed since I was crowned Miss Oregon 2024. Reflecting on Miss Oregon Week, my heart is overflowing with joy and gratitude for all the incredible memories made with so many remarkable women. One of my favorite highlights was watching the talent rehearsals. As contestants, we don’t always get to see each other perform, so those rehearsals were a special chance to witness our sisters’ talents and cheer them on. The encouragement and support we shared during those moments truly touched my heart and set a positive tone as we approached the preliminary competitions. As I prepare for Miss America, I’m excited to connect with people across our state and the nation and use their expertise to get ready for the national stage.
As Miss Oregon, I'm thrilled to amplify my community service efforts, particularly in support of those living with Type 1 Diabetes. Personally, I know the daily hurdles of managing this condition, which is why I’m taking part in the 31 Mile Challenge hosted by the Juvenile Diabetes Cure Alliance (JDCA). Throughout August, I will be walking one mile each day, totaling 31 miles by the end of the month. This challenge not only promotes physical activity but also raises crucial funds to advance diabetes treatments.
