An Empowered Advocate Ready to Make an Impact

Aria Christensen, Miss Oregon’s Teen 2026, is a passionate mental health advocate, accomplished dancer, and future entrepreneur from Eugene. After being diagnosed with Bipolar II disorder at age 14, Aria made the courageous decision to use her experience to challenge stigma and empower other young people. She wants every person living with a mental health condition to understand that a diagnosis is only one part of their story. It does not define their worth, limit their potential, or determine their future.

Academic Achievement and Entrepreneurial Ambition

Aria recently graduated from Willamette High School with a 3.92 weighted GPA and will begin her freshman year at the University of Oregon. She plans to earn a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship and ultimately open a business of her own.

As the oldest of five children, Aria has developed a strong sense of responsibility, leadership, and determination. She creates a new vision board every January to help turn her goals into action and believes that success begins with having a clear vision for the future.

Beyond the Label: Breaking Bipolar Stigma

Aria’s Community Service Initiative, Beyond the Label: Breaking Bipolar Stigma, was inspired by her own mental health journey. Diagnosed with Bipolar II disorder at 14, she understands how isolating labels and misconceptions can feel, particularly for teenagers still discovering who they are.

Through open conversations, education, advocacy, and fundraising, Aria works to replace judgment with understanding. She raised more than $1,000 for the National Alliance on Mental Illness in just one week and plans to continue building partnerships that expand mental health awareness and access to support.

During her year as Miss Oregon’s Teen, Aria will encourage young people to seek help without shame, embrace their full potential, and remember that they are always more than a diagnosis.

Strength, Gratitude, and #MissAmericaFit

Aria believes wellness includes caring for the mind and body. She starts her mornings at 5:00 a.m. with a trip to the gym, building the physical strength and discipline needed for her demanding dance and acrobatic training.

She also begins each day by writing in her gratitude journal. Since starting the practice in 2026, she has not missed a single day. This combination of movement, gratitude, and intentional goal-setting helps Aria remain grounded and reflects the whole-person wellness encouraged through #MissAmericaFit.

A Dynamic Dancer with Big Dreams

A competitive dancer since age nine, Aria performed an acrobatic dance routine to “Let Me Think About It” for her competition talent. During the 2025–2026 season, she trained and performed with four dance teams while earning numerous awards for her solo performances.

Aria continues to train with a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader as she prepares to audition for the University of Oregon Cheer Team. Her ultimate performance dream is to become an NFL cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins.

Fun Facts and Fearless Energy

Aria is the oldest of five children and is usually both the first person in her family to go to bed and the first to wake up. One of her favorite memories is a girls’ trip to Miami with her family. She has also conquered a glacier in Utah and has the scar to prove it!

Whether she is dancing, practicing acrobatics, working toward a new goal, or advocating for mental health, Aria brings energy, grit, gratitude, and an unmistakable determination to everything she does.
