A Nutrition Advocate Transforming Experience into Action

Allyssa Defilipo, Miss Oregon 2026, is a certified nutrition coach, wellness professional, vocalist, and passionate advocate from Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Having experienced food insecurity as a child, Allyssa understands firsthand how limited access to nutritious food can affect a child’s health, confidence, and future. Today, she is transforming those experiences into action through nutrition education, food-access initiatives, and practical wellness programs designed to help Oregon children and families thrive.

Education, Wellness, and a Purpose-Driven Career

Allyssa is pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Nutrition and Health and expects to graduate in 2027. She previously earned an Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education, giving her valuable insight into how children learn and develop.

She currently works as a chiropractic and wellness clinic manager, certified nutrition coach, and content coordinator for Best Version Media. Her long-term goal is to become a holistic prenatal nutritionist, helping women create healthy foundations for themselves and their children from the very beginning.

As a first-generation college student, Allyssa understands the determination required to create new opportunities. She hopes to use her education, professional experience, and year as Miss Oregon to make nutrition and wellness information more practical, accessible, and empowering.

E.A.T. to Live: Transforming Lives Through Nutrition

Allyssa’s Community Service Initiative, E.A.T. to Live: Transforming Lives Through Nutrition, is built around three essential ideas: Education, Access, and Tools.

She has presented her E.A.T. to Live nutrition seminar to more than 2,000 students and authored and illustrated a children’s nutrition book that has reached more than 800 young people. Allyssa has also created wellness kits for low-income preschool students, providing children and their families with practical resources they can use at home.

Improving access to nutritious food remains central to her mission. Allyssa has:

  • Collected more than 8,000 pounds of food for the Klamath-Lake Counties Food Bank

  • Cooked and provided meals through Integral Youth Services

  • Distributed fresh fruits and vegetables through Produce Connection

  • Introduced thousands of young people to practical nutrition education

Allyssa’s Year of Service as Miss Oregon

During her year as Miss Oregon 2026, Allyssa will expand E.A.T. to Live throughout the state, build new community partnerships, and help Oregon children and families develop healthy habits that can last a lifetime.

Her message is grounded in accessibility. Healthy choices do not have to be complicated, expensive, or perfect. Allyssa wants people to feel equipped to begin with one practical change and build from there.

As Miss Oregon, she will also represent the Miss Oregon Scholarship Program at community celebrations, schools, service projects, charitable events, and appearances throughout the state.

Sustainable Wellness and #MissAmericaFit

Allyssa believes lasting wellness is created through consistency, balance, and habits that work in everyday life. As a nutrition coach and athlete, she incorporates weightlifting, yoga, mindful eating, habit tracking, and whole-food nutrition into her routine.

Rather than focusing on appearance or perfection, Allyssa encourages others to discover sustainable habits that support physical strength, mental well-being, and a healthier quality of life.

Her approach to #MissAmericaFit reflects her belief that wellness should be practical, attainable, and personal.

Sustainable Style and Resourceful Living

Allyssa has followed a vegan lifestyle for eight years and is an enthusiastic meal prepper and coupon clipper. She regularly shares nutrition, wellness, and lifestyle content with an online audience averaging approximately one million people each month.

She is also passionate about sustainable fashion. Her entire Miss Oregon competition wardrobe was purchased secondhand, demonstrating that beautiful, memorable style does not require an extravagant price tag.

Allyssa recently became a big sister, loves finding creative ways to make healthy living more affordable, and believes some of life’s most meaningful transformations begin with one small, achievable choice.
