Miss Oregon’s Teen 2025 and Future Legal Trailblazer
At just 17 years old, Mila Pearl is more than Miss Oregon’s Teen 2025—she’s a scholar, performer, leader, and advocate who’s using her voice and platform to make a meaningful impact. Representing her hometown of Oregon City, Mila brings passion, purpose, and a strong sense of identity to everything she does.
Strong Academics and Big Ambitions
Mila is a senior at Oregon City High School and a standout student, with a 4.20 GPA and membership in the National Honor Society. She also serves as the Media Manager for her school’s Black Student Union, where she helps amplify voices and promote inclusion.
After high school, Mila plans to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and attend Yale Law School. Her goal is to become a private criminal defense attorney—working to protect rights, challenge injustice, and provide a strong defense to those in need.
A Commitment to Ending Hunger
Mila’s Community Service Initiative, called Fill A Plate, focuses on eliminating food insecurity. She has been involved with the Feed The Hungry program since 2012 and continues to work with local organizations to ensure families have consistent access to nutritious meals.
This work reflects a deep understanding of both compassion and practical action—traits Mila brings to every cause she supports.
Health Means More Than Just Fitness
Mila is passionate about health and wellness in a way that goes beyond the physical. She believes that being fit is a mindset, not a specific appearance. She enjoys learning about nutrition, makes thoughtful food choices, and stays active through yoga. Journaling is also part of her routine to stay mentally and emotionally balanced.
This approach aligns with the #MissAmericaFit initiative, which encourages contestants to take care of their whole selves—body, mind, and spirit.
Creative Spirit and Unique Interests
Mila is a lover of musical theatre and recently performed “Not for the Life of Me” from Thoroughly Modern Millie as her pageant talent. One of her dreams is to one day play Velma Kelly in Chicago on Broadway.
Outside of school and performance, she’s full of personality and fun facts. Mila is an aspiring world traveler, a skilled chef (but can’t stand eating with her shoes on), and a dedicated Gilmore Girls fan. She and her mom rewatch the series every fall.
She’s also an expert on a pogo stick, can do a roundoff and cartwheel, and even learned how to surf during a trip to South Africa.
A Voice for Connection and Respect
When asked about the most pressing social issue outside of hunger, Mila points to the lack of unity in today’s world. She believes that people often seek comfort in those who think and look like them, but this can limit our ability to learn and grow.
“It’s important that we explore ideas that challenge us,” Mila says. “We need to show respect while we listen and converse with others who are different from us.”
Looking Ahead
Mila’s goals for the next five years include:
Playing Velma Kelly in Chicago on Broadway
Traveling to at least one country on every continent
Starting her own healthy recipe blog
These dreams reflect her creative energy, curiosity about the world, and desire to share what she learns with others.
