Allison Burke, born and raised in Tigard, Oregon, is a passionate advocate for public health, food security, and women in leadership. At 28, she stands as a beacon of change, demonstrating the impact one individual can have on the world. Her journey on and off the Miss Oregon stage has been marked by dedication, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to making a difference.

Education and Career:

A graduate of Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health & Community Health Education, Allison's academic journey laid the foundation for her impactful career. Currently working in Operations within the United States Senate, she's passionate about working to support Oregonians from all walks of life and fighting for social justice and equity.

Community Service Initiative (CSI):

Allison's dedication to combating hunger through awareness, charity, and legislation is exemplified by her leadership through her community service initiative, Hunger-Free America. Her accomplishments include co-chairing Hunger-Free America’s Associates Council in New York City presenting on “Fighting Hunger Together" to dozens of Oregon civic and school groups, and founding a food pantry in her city, “The Backpack Program”. Her advocacy has resonated not only in Oregon but also on Capitol Hill, where she lobbied with Feeding America from 2020 to 2022.

Talent:

Allison captivates audiences with her violin rendition of Vivaldi’s “The Storm,” accompanied by her own arrangement created alongside her father. Her talent transcends mere performance; it's a testament to her dedication and artistry.

Accomplishments:

Allison's commitment to service has not gone unnoticed. Her accolades include being named Volunteer of the Year in her hometown by the Mayor, her election as a Rotary International Community Service Chair, and the granting of a Make-A-Wish. Her weekly deliveries of Meals on Wheels to senior neighbors stand as a testament to her unwavering dedication to her community.

Beyond her impressive advocacy work, Allison possesses a delightful quirkiness. An amateur magician, she brings a touch of magic to the world. Known as the "Queen of Halloween" among her friends, she showcases her creativity each year through elaborate costumes. Her family's jazz band, "The Second Wind All-Stars," adds a musical note to her rich tapestry of interests. Among her cherished possessions is a signed Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood script, a testament to her appreciation for kindness and compassion.

In the next five years, she aspires to submit an audition tape for "The Amazing Race" alongside her father, record a studio album titled “Songs in the Key of Strife” with her family’s jazz band, and complete a claymation anthology that promises to captivate audiences.
